Hello and welcome to my website. I post news about upcoming talks or publications along with archaeological news and events.
I am currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher on the Neumark-Nord 2 Project at the Monrepos Archaeological Research Centre and Museum for Human Behavioural Evolution. I am studying the taphonomy of the large mammal fauna from the site and assessing the impact and butchery behaviour of Neanderthals at this Eemian site.
I am also involved as a faunal analyst on the Quaternary Archaeology and Environments of Jersey Project (QAEJ). I am presently involved with a reassessment and analysis of the fauna from the iconic Neanderthal site of La Cotte de St Brelade reassessing the site formation and the evidence for hominin hunting and butchery behaviour.
I completed my PhD thesis and graduated from the Institute of Archaeology (UCL) in 2010. I was supervised by Mark Roberts and Louise Martin. My research focussed on the accumulation of faunal assemblages from four major Palaeolithic sites (Boxgrove, Swanscombe, Hoxne and Lynford). I am interested in site formation and understanding how humans interacted with, modified and were influenced by their environment.
If you have any questions or queries contact me or leave me a comment. Thanks.
